Secret To Win Online Poker Tournaments

Posted by poker bonus guru | Articles | Saturday 3 April 2010 12:58 pm

You will hear dozens of people tell you multiple strategies to winning online poker, and for the most part, their advice is reasonably accurate. However, online poker is quite different than live poker, mainly because online poker sites use a computer-generated set of codes, algorithms, and software to determine hand outcomes and winners. In a live game, the deck is subjected to a truly random set of circumstances beyond the control of players, dealers, and the house. Unless the deck is stacked, the odds and statistics in a live game are more accurate than in online poker. Unfortunately, Internet sites are easily able to manipulate the decks, outcomes, and even winners in any game. Until recently, poker en linea sites were regarded as honest and fair businesses, then scandals after scandal broke with many poker sites admitting to cheating, collusion and hacking by staff and players alike. This prompted a drastic change in the way online sites shuffled, delivered, and dealt their decks. In addition, the sites also added in extra measures of security in the form of anti-collusion and anti-cheating software. Online Poker Vs. Live Poker – The big difference! The anti-collusion and anti-cheating software, however necessary for the integrity of the site, changed more than just the security of the game. It also changed the outcome of the deal. To explain further, one of the measures of anti-collusion is the ability to detect when a player or players have won too many hands consecutively. When this occurs, the programs anti-collusion algorithms will come into play and cause the suspected colluders to lose, by offering a seemingly unbeatable hand or strong starting hand that ultimately loses by the river. The disadvantage is that the computer program does not KNOW who really is colluding and therefore, if you play great cards and win several hands consistently, the program will inadvertently ‘accuse’ you of cheating and deliver you a bad beat! Hard to believe? But TRUE! You honestly do not think you are getting all those bad beats for no apparent reason, especially when you never get that many bad beats in a live game! So, what is really going on here? As you can see, the algorithms are automatically monitoring your wins and when you have won a number of hands outside of the algorithms boundaries, it is determined you must be cheating. The poker site’s algorithms will then attempt to eliminate you from the juegos de poker by giving you trap or trick hands that induce your play and ultimately lose. Not fair is it? No, it really is not fair that online poker sites have taken the skill out of the game and then try to level the field so anyone can win by sucking out or bad beating you. Why should a good player be penalized because he knows how to use position to win a pot even with the worst hand? The Secret: Now that you know what the online poker sites are doing behind the scenes and why you may be getting bad beats so often, you can do something about it! Learn how the algorithm works, what the boundaries are and avoid getting bad beats and losing to a donkey chasing his draws.

The Secret to Stock Market Investing and How to Be Successful

Posted by poker bonus guru | Articles | Friday 12 March 2010 1:03 am

To novices and the inexperienced, investing in the stock market can seem extremely intimidating. That is completely understandable. Trying to invest your money without knowing much about the market is akin to walking into a casino and dropping five hundred dollars on a single poker hand when you have never really played. In truth, purchasing stocks is quite easy. Investing them is the hard part. Well, really, it is more confusing than hard. Therefore it is crucial to learn as much as possible about the market and investing first. To that end, here are a couple of secrets which can really help you.

To begin with, as mentioned, investing is the hard part. Of course, you need to know a few things before buying as well. You need to start reading stock reports. See which stocks have done consistently well, which flounder, which ones are fickle, which ones seem doomed to fail, et cetera. A little research can go a long way – it can literally pay off, in fact.

So, just for argument’s sake, let us say that you have bought your stocks. They are good stocks and you want to do them justice – but you are not at all sure how to sell them. No problem! You do not have to make any faux pas that wind up losing you money. For one thing, never let fear hold you back. If you keep a stock just because you are afraid of what might happen if you sell it, then the market probably is not the place for you. You need to strip some emotions away from yourself, at least as they apply to investing. You need to get rid of all avarice.

You need to discard fear. You need to dump feelings of anxiety. You need to make nervousness take a hike. Believe it or not, doing these things can make all the difference in your success.

But how can get yet rid of these completely natural, understandable emotions? You just need to understand that sometimes, you may lose money. Not all of your investments are going to do well all the time. When they do not, you have to consider that an opportunity. The stock market presents a financial learning experience. Realize that losing money is as natural and expected as making it. Just by doing so, you may find that you win more often.

To that end however, you can implement some “insurance.” Simply put, you should never invest a load of money in just one stock. Spread your money around; that way, if one stock fails, you have not lost everything.

The types of stocks you choose to invest in are also important. You need to look for investments which carry a low risk. Some investors, fuelled by emotion, feel like they are not really investing if they do not take some chances. That is not true at all. Really, you are taking a chance any time you invest money in anything. Therefore, there is no reason to be foolhardy by putting all your eggs into one basket.

Discover the Secret Formula of Blackjack Winners

Posted by poker bonus guru | Articles | Tuesday 2 March 2010 1:00 pm

Today, blackjack seems to be one of the most popular card games. This is because playing blackjack is so easy to learn and play. Unlike poker, blackjack does not have any combinations to remember.

In blackjack, the object of the game is to get the sum of the two cards close to 21. When a person gets cards that are over 21, he or she loses the game.

Normally, a player receives two cards. After the players see their cards, they have to decide whether they would hit or stand. When a person says “stand,” this means the player thinks he or she is closer to 21 already. When a player says “hit,” this means that he or she still needs additional cards just to get close to 21.

Players can draw as many cards as they want until they feel they are close to 21 already. A player who is nearer to 21 wins.

However, there are people who have devised some tips and strategies to get an edge over the other blackjack players. There are times that these gaming tips really can help some people win.

Here’s a list of some tips that blackjack players may choose to use them so as to win the game.

1. If a player gets 17 or higher, it is always better to stand, and if the player has any number from 13 to 16 and the dealer’s card is 6 or lower, it would be better to stand. But if the dealer has 7 or more, it would be better for a player to hit.

The theory here is that, if the dealer is showing a card of six or lower, the dealer may take a card, assuming that the dealer’s card facing down is a ten. The players, then, assume that the dealer is banking on a bust hand, so the other players have the tendency to maintain a lower card number.

The rule of thumb: players should always assume that the dealer’s down cards is 10.

2. If a player has aces or 8’s, it would be better to split them regardless of the dealer’s showing card.

3. A player should remember not to split 10’s. Chances are, they might end up getting busted.

4. If the dealer is showing 4, 5, or 6, it would be better for a player to stand on hard 12, or hit hard if the dealer is showing 2, 3, 7, or higher.

5. In order to win, players should always remember not to split fours, face cards, and fives.

Indeed, gambling is a game of chance, but with keen observation, winning at blackjack is possible.

A Casino Grand Master’s Secret

Posted by poker bonus guru | Articles | Tuesday 2 March 2010 1:00 pm

Texas holdem poker is one of those games that will definitely challenge the minds of the player, as well as his luck. Finding the best strategy to use in the game then becomes very challenging and engaging for the avid poker player.

The best strategy that players can use in their game relies on a good combination of adept card skills and a controlled but aggressive betting style. These two elements of the strategy must work together flawlessly in order to be very effective during play.

A dash of analytical and mathematical skills, while not really required, can also be useful in when the need arise, such as calculating the odds that are against you and deciding on the bets.

Card Analysis

The core of any blackjack strategy, card analysis can greatly increase the player’s chances by knowing in advance the possible combinations that may come out. But before people start raising their eyebrows, this is not some sort of psychic or supernatural ability. Rather, players can use the mathematical (Ok, so here’s where the math part starts to come in) concept of probabilities. Basically the more probable the combination is, the easier to get one.

As an example, it is easier to get a straight flush than a royal flush simply because of the more probable way of forming the former. All the available cards in a suit can be used to form a straight flush, while the royal flush requires the face cards, which make it very difficult to form one.

Card counting is also one skill that you can add to your arsenal. Card counting is very useful in keeping track of all the cards that are being dealt in the game. While one needs to have a good memory, he does not need to actually memorize all the exact cards that come out of the deal, contrary to popular belief. What card counters do is simply to keep track of a few cards dealt by the dealer, assigning points or codes to each card for easier tracking.

Combining both skills, one can then determine the most possible card combination that he can form with the current hand he has. This can greatly help in deciding when to hit (ask for additional cards) or not. The strategy most players follow is to hit when there is a large possibility of drawing a high card or when the dealer is at as disadvantage.

Card analysis can also be useful in setting up the next part of the blackjack gamer’s strategy, betting.

Laying The Right Bets

As important as the task of taking the right cards, making the right bets is the next step in the poker gamer’s two-fold strategy. Once the player knows the possible outcomes of the cards, he can then decide on when to bet and how much to bet.

Betting requires a great deal of control on the amounts that are being laid on the table. Ideally, the amounts to be laid are such that one can expect to make a profit if he wins, while at the same time not losing that much money in case he loses the bet.

Wise players often make their initial bets small. The idea here is to slowly increase their winning s while still maintaining a reasonable amount left in their banks. As their winnings gradually increase, they also gradually increase the bets they make on the table.

Texas holdem players also make great use of the various betting and dealing options available in the game. These options increases their chances and sometimes minimize their expected losses in case they don’t win.

One of the more daring tactics employed by Texas holdem players is bluffing. Bluffing is essentially fooling an opponent into thinking that the player has the upper hand or at a disadvantage, thereby letting him make a wrong move. Bluffing may be done through the cards by either taking up additional cards in the guise of strengthening a weak hand, or refusing to take more cards even with a weak hand, to fool the opponent into taking additional cards.

A riskier bluff uses the bets themselves. Again the intention is to fool other players into thinking that you have the upper hand and let them make wrong moves. This strategy, however, require the player to place larger bets on his hand, letting other players to assume that he does so because he has the upper hand. The major risk on this one is of course the amount of money being bet. If one loses, a lot of money can fly away easily. However, the end results can be very rewarding if all the plans and bluffs go through and other players actually bite in.

There are still more strategies that the Texas holdem player can explore. These are the more advanced techniques that one can pull of but essentially follow the same route as this basic strategy.

Women Poker Players: Our Secret Advantage at the Tables

Posted by poker bonus guru | Articles | Sunday 28 February 2010 12:59 am

This is just for the women who play poker so men go away! Seriously, you can’t read this if you’re a dude. I recommend that the male reader go to the next post right away. You don’t want your manhood being questioned because you’re reading an article written STRICTLY for women players!

Ok ladies, now that I got rid of all the men let’s talk shop. Men are an assuming bunch. We love ‘em, we hate ‘em. You know how that goes. A woman can use her female wiles to advance her poker game. Here’s why. Whenever a woman sits down at a poker table (even a virtual poker table online) the men at the table make an assumption. That assumption is usually that the woman will not be as good a poker player as the men are. They don’t give women credit for the ability to be good poker players. I guess they don’t think we can master the strategic part of the game, or maybe we just can’t grasp mathematical concepts. Maybe we lack the aggression to be good poker players. We’re just too passive by nature to be any good.

When I sit down at the poker table I prefer to think of myself as “the black widow.” Sure, I smile sheepishly at the men. I may fumble my chips awkwardly. I start up lighthearted conversations and react seemingly with awe when my male counterparts win a hand. I flirt – oh my, how I flirt! I may even show missed drawing hands that make it appear that I’m playing loose. Do not be fooled by my antics for I am weaving my web of deception, waiting for the unsuspecting male black widow to arrive (so what the hell do they call the male of their species?). I seduce the poor fellow and have my way with him. Alright!! Get your mind out of the gutter. I simply mean that I build a huge pot and he still thinks I’m the sheepish woman who couldn’t possibly play poker. And then I spring my trap. I push in a huge bet knowing I have the nuts. What’s the poor guy to do? He’s pretty much pot committed and he can’t lose face in front of his male cronies. He calls my bet and I flip over the nuts and rake in a big pot. Another one bites the dust! Hey, maybe I should act surprised here and say I thought you had me beat – that sure was scary. And so it goes.

I’ve actually been sitting at a poker table playing with the guys and they nudge me under the table to let me know I should get out of the hand. Aside from the fact this isn’t fair to the other players – I do appreciate their protective nature sometimes. I notice sometimes that guys will try to teach me the game and show me their hands at the end of play. It all works in my favor. I’m making mental notes fast and furiously.

A woman poker player should work to develop her bag of tricks. Among these should be her black widow routine, playing the dumb blonde and flirting with the enemy. Poker is about developing a winning edge. Deception is built into the game. The next time you sit down at a table full of men, realize that most if not all of them will be judging you incorrectly until you prove them wrong.

A funny thing happens after the guys catch on to you. They start believing you every time you push your chips into the pot. This makes for some wonderful opportunities to steal the pot!

Ain’t it great being a woman? Just be sure to keep it between us, ok.

Loni Barrett is an avid poker player known as “DrunkBlonde” in some circles. She plays Texas Hold Em both online and in casinos. She shares actual game videos and rants about her “school of hard knocks” lessons on her offbeat and thought-provoking personal blog at www.drunkblonderpoker.com. Come learn more about the advantages of women poker players.
